Roy Jones

Roy Gene Jones, 73, passed away Tuesday Oct. 21, 2014 at his home in American Falls. He was born Nov. 3, 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Matt Jones and Victora Tackett Jones.

He served in the Navy stationed out of Tennessee.

He met and married Patricia Herring in 1961(divorced 1998) Together they had 7 children. He later married Arlene Gladys Jones.

He is survived by his children: Mike Jones of Milton Freewater, Oregon;  Nick (Tamie) Jones of Milton Freewater, Oregon; Matt (Doshia) Jones of Elizabeth, Colorado;  Margaret (Burns) Chamberlain of Elizabeth, Colorado; Jeff (Alicia) Jones of Milton Freewater, Oregon; Tresa (Charlie) Lasike of Orem, Utah and  Jason Jones of Aberdeen, Idaho and 28 Grandchildren and 29 Great-Grandchildren and sisters Nola (Jerry) Hopkins of Pocatello, Idaho; Donna McInelly of Pocatello, Idaho and Shirley Frost of American Falls and brothers Mick (Jenny) Jones of Mackey, Idaho and  Randy (Linda) Jones of Pocatello, Idaho.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, wife Arlene, sister Bonnie Lords and brother Rick Jones.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 111 Church Place, in American Falls on Sat. Oct. 25, 2014. The viewing will begin at 2:00 pm with funeral services starting at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Falls View Cemetery. Condolences and Memories may be shared at www.davisrosemortuary.com.
