Richard Clark

Richard Elbert Clark, 78, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on July 13, 2023 after complications with his heart and breathing.

Richard was born on December 9, 1944 to Frank and Evelyn Clark in Culver City, California.  After Richard graduated from Hueneme High School in 1962, he went on to study at Ventura Jr College.

On February 12, 1963, Richard married his high school sweetheart Sally Wisehart. Richard and Sally went on to have three children, Richard R Clark (Kathryn), Ann Clark Whitfield (Pete) and Jan Clark Quilantang (Arnold).

Richard and Sally settled and raised their children in Oxnard, California. Much to Richard’s heartbreak, his sweet wife passed due to complications from diabetes and kidney failure on June 16, 2001.  Finding light in his life again, Richard joined the LDS Church later in 2001.  Richard worked for E J Harrison & Sons for 38 years as a supervisor overseeing the City of Camarillo, until his retirement in 2006.

Richard later met Marilyn Dianne Lewis and married on May 12, 2003.  From Oxnard, Ca they moved to Pingree, Idaho to retire with some space and land.  They enjoyed working together on their farm, working with Australian Shepherds and Nubian milking goats. They continued their adventure together with a move to Tonopah, Arizona, where they resided until 2019.  From Arizona they moved to Rigby, Idaho for assistance with Richards’s health.

Richard enjoyed his 50 years fellowship with The Independent Order of Odd Fellows- 89 Oxnard Lodge.  He enjoyed his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and serving in his local congregation.  

Richard was predeceased by his mother and father, his first wife Sally, and Step Daughter Cecelia Martinson. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Dianne Clark, his sister Mary Gould (Robert), his son Richard Clark (Kathryn), Daughters: Ann Whitfield (Peter); Jan Quilantang (Arnold), Step Son Ian Martinson (Megan), Step Daughter Katherine Martinson, Grandchildren: Ricky Clark, Toby Clark, Travis Whitfield, Timothy Whitfield, Jaison Quilantang, Max Martinson, Debra Clark, Kati Clark, Alanna Quilantang, Naia Quilantang, Isabel Martinson, Gabrielle Martinson, Abigail Martinson, Sophia Martinson, Olivia Martinson, Great Grandson: Jakson Clark.
