Rafelita Miguelita Gallegos, beloved Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, Friend and travel companion passed away unexpectedly in February 2023 at the age of 37 in Pocatello Idaho.
When you love so deeply, you feel as deeply and Rafelitas love was as vast as the Oceans. If She could have said one last thing it would been “I love you” once more before she had left us. Rafelita had lived and died by her terms, not letting anyone or anything stop her from spreading her light and laughter across the Globe. Rafelita had outgrown her life here and was ready for her next journey into the next one where she will undeniably be making everyone there laugh, and telling them stories until It is our time to join her.
Rafelita was born in Salt Lake City Utah to Patricia Gallegos and was fortunate enough to have had four fathers to help raise her during her lifetime: Earl Fox (Her Biological Father) and her three step fathers; Michael Gallegos, Lonnie Mullikin and Brian Rast.
Rafelita grew up in various cities around Salt Lake City, Utah before moving to Pocatello Idaho with her mother and siblings in the mid-1990s where she attended Jefferson Elementary and Irving Junior High school. She then moved with her mother and younger brother to American Falls Idaho where she attending the American Falls High School. After High school she left home to follow in her sisters footsteps and joined Job Corp outside of Yakima, WA for a brief time before returning back home to Idaho. From there Rafelita started her adult journey traveling and living in several locations across the United States. One of her proudest moments was when she got to walk the red carpet for her part in a movie called “Garbage”. Even though she was constantly traveling she always made time to visit her family and friends. She was well known for calling you last minute or showing up at your doorstep to visit. If you were lucky you would have visited her at one of her homes were she would be cooking and either listening to music loudly and dancing in the kitchen or having a show playing on the TV enjoying her favorite blend of herbs and spices. She loved taking visitors out in whichever city she was in and exploring new areas with them.
To have known Rafelita would have been to have know her compassionate heart and the optimistic outlook on life she continuously spread even when she was battling her own darkness. Her beautiful smile and loving energy was contagious. Rafelita had lived a hundred different lives over the past 37 years and was fortunate enough to have created a multitude of friendships along the way.
Rafelita had created strong, lifelong bonds with all of her nieces and nephews and little cousins whom she affectionately referred to as “Her Children”. She will always be remembered as the fun, vibrant, adventurous Auntie whom they all wanted to spend their time with. If she saw anyone not treating her children nicely She would turn into an immovable force to be reckoned with.
Rafelita leaves behind three ex-husbands; Vladimir, Sean and Nicholas whom had all loved her during the different periods of her life. Her Mother, Patricia Gallegos, Step-Fathers; Michael Gallegos, Lonnie Mullikin and Brian Rast (Alaina), Her Siblings: Patrick Rottini (Amanda Rottini/Wendy Rice) and their children Donovon (Arianna), Emily (David), and Bonnie.
