Monica Rose Corsini, 24, born in August 1987 passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2012. She is the daughter of Greg and Maria Kress Wilson and Joseph and Toni Corsini. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Gary Thomson of American Falls, Gale & Dennis Corsini of Sandpoint and Stan Kress of Garden Valley Idaho.
She was born in Moscow ID while her parents were students at the University of Idaho. She spent her first years in American Falls. Since 1993 when Maria married Greg she has lived in Pocatello except when she attended the U of I. She was currently at ISU finishing her degree in History and French. She was working as a research assistant to her inspirational professor, Dr. Stephanie Christelow.
In May, when her school is finished, Monica and her best friend, Christina Nelson of Boise, had plans to fly to France, travel throughout Europe and visit her father and brothers in Germany.
Monica camped, skied, climbed rocks, white water river rafted, hiked, and lived a full life. She knitted and made up her own patterns to perfection. She enjoyed family games, loved her dog and made all of us happy.
She is survived by her parents and grandparents, a step sister Amy, step brother Eric, three half-brothers in Germany, Nicolas, Aaron, and Daniel Corsini. She is also survived by her Corsini and Kress aunts and uncles and her two sister cousins, Jordyn Tanner and Whitney Kress and all the other cousins who were part of her life.
Monica preferred theme parties and so everyone is invited to wear something knit, on your head, around your neck or in your pocket to her memorial service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Snowflake in American Falls, Idaho, on Friday the 9th of March at 1pm. A viewing will be held on Thursday March 8th at the church from 6 to 8 and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
