Ludeen L. Kugler

AMERICAN FALLS, Id - Ludeen Locy Kugler passed away at the age of 75  in her home with her husband at her side,   Monday, November 5, 2012 from a rare condition caused by Ovarian Cancer.   (Paraneoplastic Cellebar Degeneration)

                She was born in American Falls on September 10, 1937 under the name Erna Ludeen Locy.  Ludeen as she was called from a small girl was the only child of Ernest and Lodema Locy.  She married the love of her life Richard Kenneth Kugler after high school. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in June. 

                After several years of marriage, they welcomed three children; Kenton Richard, Kraig Steven, and Kristin Leiane.  Ludeen had the pleasure of working from home here and there raising her young children.  She then worked at a bank and in a finance company until her retirement with her husband in 1990.  They spend the past 21 years enjoying their winters in Casa Grande, AZ and summers in American Falls. 

                Ludeen loved to play golf, bridge and being with friends.   Richard and Ludeen enjoyed to golf in Chapman formats for many years, traveling to one place to the other meeting many different people.  She was a member of PEO, Chapters E in Jerome and U in American Falls and enjoyed writing their newsletter for several years. 

                She was the proud and loved Nana of her five grandchildren, Jessica, Kelson, Brenley, Kourney and Braden and supported them in everything they did. 

Ludeen was a twenty four-year breast cancer survivor and encouraged everyone she met to have their mammograms each and every year. 

                She is survived by her husband, Richard Kugler, sons Kenton Kugler (Vickie) of McMinnville Oregon and Kraig Kugler of Pocatello and her daughter Kristin Box (Todd) of Twin Falls, five grandchildren; Jessica  Roberts (Mike) of Las Vegas, N;, Kelson Kugler of Seattle, WA; Brenley Box of Boise, ID; Kourtney Kugler of McMinnville, OR and Braden Box of Grand Junction, CO.

                Proceeding Ludeen in death were her parents, Ernest and Lodema Locy, and three half bothers, Wayne Locy, Hank Locy and Jim Locy. 

                The family will receive friends at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Davis-Rose Mortuary 170 Idaho St. American Falls. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Falls View Cemetery in American Falls.

                In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Idaho Youth Ranch or a charity of your choice is requested.
