Laura Sorensen

Laura Ruth Sorensen passed away peacefully on 3 July 2022 at her home in Aberdeen, Idaho.  Laura was born 18 December 1949 in American Falls, Power, Idaho, to Victoria Griffin and Ralph Myrt Hayes.  She graduated from Aberdeen High School with the class of 1968 and from Brigham Young University with the class of 1972.  She married her high school sweetheart, Leland Sorensen, on 6 August 1971 in the Idaho Falls Temple.  She was a member of the Aberdeen Second Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  

Laura is survived by her husband, Leland Sorensen, of nearly 51 years; her four daughters, Heather (Christopher) McPhie, Shauna (Michael) Jones, Karen (Scott) Howell, and Linda Woods; her three brothers Ralph (Chandra) Hayes, LeRoy (Deborah) Hayes, and Steven (Linda) Hayes; and twenty-two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.  Funeral services will be held at the Aberdeen meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 8 July 2022 with a viewing from 9:00 am to 10:45 am and the funeral to follow.
