Kay Stilwell, 67, passed away peacefully in her home January 31, 2015. Kay was born December 8, 1947 to Jess Wininger and Georgiana M. Bitner of Weiser, Idaho. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1966. In September of 1968 she married the love of her life, Clarence Stilwell.
They made their home in Nampa, Idaho for 16 years. She drove a school bus and worked in the Nampa School district for many years helping out special needs children. Something she thoroughly loved. In 1984, the family moved to Rockland, Idaho and she worked in the American Falls School dist helping, again, with special needs children. She found another passion when she took on a management position with the Grand Cascade Apartments. Helping others became second nature to her and she never knew a stranger. She held various community positions in American Falls and finally, she and Clarence moved to American Falls in 1996. Along with managing apartments she also took on managing Lakeview Mobile Home Park once again to help others. Upon Clarence’s retirement they became active members in the National Search and Rescue and again she took on the honor of being financial treasurer for a couple of years. She loved to camp and the couple belonged to the Good Sam’s club in American Falls where she met more wonderful people doing what she loved to do in her spare time. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Kay is survived by her husband Clarence of 47 years; her 2 children Debi (Ron) Swanson of Pocatello and Ron Stilwell of American Falls; grandchildren (4) Hillary of Minneola Texas, Dylan (Tiff), Hailey, and Cassidy, all of American Falls; 1 great grandson, Ryler who hung the moon with Grammy. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and nephew.
