Kathy Jayne Foster, 61, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on April 5, 2021, peacefully at home in Aberdeen, Idaho. She was born on May 26, 1959 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Henry Dee and Glayda Jane (Olsen) Corbridge.
Kathy grew up and received her education in Aberdeen. She married her eternal companion, Bruce Foster, on April 25, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Kathy and Bruce have four children, Cameron, Brooklyn, Bridget, and Kenyon and are the grateful foster parents of Toby Carrillo.
Although not being raised on a farm, Kathy quickly and gracefully embraced the farming life. She enjoyed growing her own crop in her beautiful garden and then canning her harvest. She was a wonderful homemaker and came by it naturally. Keeping an organized home, working in the yard and garden, fixing a delicious meal – often to be shared with others – and caring for her family, were just some of the things on Kathy’s list of things to accomplish for the day.
Kathy enjoyed playing the piano and will be remembered for her beautiful touch when she played. Over the years, she also developed a love for sewing and quilting. She especially enjoyed creating the designs and shopping for just the right fabric to make gifts for her grandchildren. They all have treasures that were made with their Grandma Kathy’s loving hands.
Together, Bruce and Kathy enjoyed traveling, camping, spending time in Island Park and with family.
Kathy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and such a good example of a good and faithful daughter of our Heavenly Father’s. She served faithfully in many capacities and truly loved and touched the lives of those she ministered to.
Kathy is to be admired and will be remembered for how she faced her health challenges and trials with courage, determination, and faith.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Bruce. They would have celebrated their 41st anniversary this month. She is also survived by their children: Cameron (Vanessa) Burley, ID, Brooklyn Stoddard (Andrew) Pocatello, ID, Bridget George (Marcus) Aberdeen, ID, Kenyon (Katelyn) Pasco, WA, and Toby (Claudia) Carillo, TX, and 14 grandchildren who she dearly loved. She is also survived by her mother, Glayda Kendell, a brother, Kris Corbridge, a sister, Mychelle Vollmer all of Aberdeen and a sister-in-law, Carla Corbridge of Rigby, ID.
Kathy is preceded in death by her father Henry Dee Corbridge; and a brother, Mike Corbridge.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aberdeen 1st Ward, 149 W. Central Avenue, Aberdeen, Idaho. There will be a short visitation from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Monday, April 12th at the Church with services at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be at the Aberdeen City Cemetery following services. The services will be live streamed and available online at Davisrosemortuary.com.
