Lester Homer Kress, 97. Passed away June 10, 2015 at Edgewood in American Falls, Idaho where he had resided for the last 2 years 11 months.
Homer was born May 19, 1918 in Rockland, Idaho to Adam and May Kress. He attended school at Mountain View. He married Betty Reed on November 4, 1939. They settled on a dry farm in the Landing, Roy area where their two children, Patricia and Gregory were raised. Homer served as Power County Commissioner from 1961 to 1973 and 1977 to 1981.
They later moved to American Falls, Idaho. His favorite activities were 9 am coffee at Rockland Pharmacy, lunch at the senior center and trips to Jackpot.
Homer is survived by his daughter Patricia Pierce, Royal City WA; son Gregory (Stephane) Kress, Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, brothers Marion, Roscoe, and Eugene, sisters Verna, and Rosalee, and grandson Lynn Anderson.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00 am at Valley View Cemetery in Rockland Idaho. The Family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood and Encompass Hospital for all their support and loving care.
