Henry Glade Wilcox

Henry Glade Wilcox, born November 21, 1953, age 58, of Aberdeen, Idaho passed away May 27, 2012 at his home from a lengthy illness. 

            Henry was preceded in death by a baby sister, Beverley Ann, and his father, Arden J. Wilcox.  He is survived by his mother Betty Jane, brother Nolan (Linda), sister Emma Sue, brother Forrest (Bonnie), sister Cindy Cordell, many nieces, nephews and life-long friends, Nyle Thornley, Al Littlefield, and Doni Kirby, who loved him dearly.

            Henry was a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, Idaho.  He graduated from Aberdeen High School, class of 72, and attended Idaho State University.

            Henry was an avid reader, especially in science fiction.  He also was very knowledgeable and enjoyed astronomy and other sciences.  He enjoyed classical music as well as 60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock and soul music.  He had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing.  He enjoyed writing short stories and poetry and telling a good joke. 

            The family would like to thank the staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Salt Lake City, UT, Idaho Home Health & Hospice, Becky Sheer, Fern, Dr. Bentz, Michelle McCado, Kim Hobday, with special thanks to Dr. Peggy Torro of Blackfoot, ID.

            The Gathering with family and friends will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St. American Falls.  The burial will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Aberdeen Cemetery.  The memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aberdeen 1st Ward.
