Florence Eva Perry Beitz

ROCKLAND – Florence Eva Perry Beitz passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.  She was born January 5, 1921, in Rockland, Idaho, to George Elmer and Florence Ida Hartley Perry.  She attended and graduated from Rockland School.  Eva worked at the Rockland Mercantile for four years.

 She married Edwin Conrad Beitz on June 9, 1946, at her home in Rockland.  They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple.  They have lived in Washington and California and then settled down in the Ogden/Roy, Utah area for 21 years.  In September, 1973, they moved back to Rockland, Idaho.  Through the years Eva has had several church callings. 

They had two daughters and one son, Betsy Ann, Karen Kay and Edwin Eugene.  Eva was devoted to her family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband, three children, Betsy (Clark) Vanek, Karen Beitz and Edwin Eugene (Victoria) Beitz, her sister Erma (John) Steidley, 4 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was loved by family and friends, we will miss her greatly.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rockland Ward, in Rockland, Idaho.  The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Rockland Valley View Cemetery.
