DAVID D. PRIVETT , SURROUNDED BY HIS LOVING WIFE AND CHILDREN AT HOME, LEFT THIS WORLD AND WENT TO HEAVEN INTO JESUS’ WAITING ARMS ON JANUARY 11, 2014, AFTER A CORAGEOUS BATTLE WITH CANCER.
DAVID WAS BORN TO CHESTER MARCILLA AND ZORAH ABAGAIL PRIVETT ON DECEMBER 11, 1938, IN C0LT, ARKANSAS.
DAVID, AS A YOUNG MAN, WORKED WITH HIS FAMILY IN MICHIGAN, FLORIDA, AND ARKANSAS. DAVID, HIS SISTER, AND HIS BROTHERS WORKED ALONGSIDE HIS PARENTS BUILDING THEIR HOME AND CULTIVATING A BLUEBERRY FARM IN ARKANSAS. AFTER MOVING OUT WEST TO CALIFORNIA, DAVID WORKED SEVERAL JOBS AND AMONG THEM HIS FAVORITES WERE AT M & R SHEEP RANCH AT MOJAVE, CALLIFORNIA; CHARTER BUS DRIVER FOR LTR STAGE LINES AT RENO, NV AND LAS VEGAS, NV; DELTA FREIGHT LINES AT RENO, NV; AMALGAMATED SUGAR IN AMERICAN FALLS, IDAHO; AND WILSON BROS CAR SALES AT RENO, NV; AND CARSON CITY NISSAN JEEP EAGLE AT CARSON CITY, NV, UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1998.
DAVID HAD MANY HOBBIES WHICH INCLUDED THE COLLECTION OF ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES, FISHING, AND RESTORATION OF CLASSIC CARS AND CLASSIC TRACTORS. HE NEVER HAD IDLE HANDS; ESPECIALLY WHEN HE WAS ENJOYING COUNTRY LIFE IN AMERICAN FALLS, ID.
DAVID IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, DEBORAH M PRIVETT, HIS DAUGHTER BOBBIE (JACK) MORRIS OF AMERICAN FALLS IDAHO, HIS SON DAVID R(CAROL) PRIVETT OF AMERICAN FALLS,IDAHO; HIS DAUGHTER DEBORAH LYNN PRIVETT IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNA; HIS DAUGHTER APRIL DAWN (DAVID) PRESTON OF AMERICAN FALLS, ID. IN ADDITION DAVID IS SURVIVED BY 10 GRANDCHILDREN & 13 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, AS WELL AS HIS BROTHERS JAMES (FREDA) PRIVETT AND CHESTER (DONNA) PRIVETT AND HIS SISTER MELINDA SMITH ALONG WITH SEVERAL NEICES AND NEPHEWS. PRECEDING DAVID IN DEATH ARE HIS PARENTS, CHESTER M. PRIVETT AND ZORAH A. PRIVETT; HIS FIRST WIFE, JUDITH ANN PRIVETT; HIS INFANT NIECE RENA PRIVETT; HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW EDWARD SMITH; AND HIS BROTHER CHALMES T. PRIVETT.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT AMERICAN FALLS C0MMUNITY CHURCH, LOCATED AT 745 BENNETT, AMERICAN FALLS, IDAHO, FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2014. VIEWING WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 AM TO 10:45 AM WITH FUNERAL SERVICES TO FOLLOW AT 11:00 AM. A PUBLIC INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW AT FALLS VIEW CEMETARY. EVERYONE IS THEN INVITED TO ATTEND A LUNCHEON WITH DAVID’S FAMILY AT THE AMERICAN FALLS COMMUNITY CHURCH.
