Dale Boyce Brown passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Power County Nursing Home in American Falls, Idaho. He was born September 28, 1923 in Lovell, Wyoming to Achilles and Myrtle Boice Brown. In the early 1930âs the family loaded all of their possessions into a wagon and moved to Salmon, Idaho. Dale attended school in Salmon and graduated in 1944. Dale served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States Northwest Mission. He married Viola Rosa Hymas on June 29, 1951 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Four children were born to them; Rosa Dianne, Cindy May, Dale Boice, and Myrtle Charlotte. In 1968, the family moved to Rockland, Idaho. Dale and Viola enjoyed raising their children and then watching their grandchildren grow. In 2007, health forced them both to move to the Power County Nursing Home.
Dale is survived by his children, Dianne(Martin) Reaves, Rockland, Idaho; Cindy (James) McLean, Rockland, Idaho; Dale (Vicki) Brown, Roy, Utah; Charlotte (Thomas) Waddoups, American Falls, Idaho; sixteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and one brother, Chuck (Carol) Brown, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his wife, Viola; his parents; three brothers, Scott, Jim, and Larry; four sisters, Curtie, Doris, Lola, and Louise; two grandchildren, Tressa and Shaylene Reaves.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Power County Nursing Home, especially granddaughter Amanda Cardona, for the wonderful care that has been given him over the last several years.
A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, September 10th, from 6 to 8 pm at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St., American Falls, Idaho. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 11th, at 11 am, with a viewing held prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:45 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rockland, Idaho. Interment will follow in the Rockland Valley View Cemetery.
