Clay grew up in Arimo, ID. Attended Marsh Valley High and graduated with honors.  Clay attended Ricks College in computer science. Then later enrolled at ISU.  Clay served a mission to Hong Kong for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He learned to speak Mandarin Chinese.  He came to love the people there. He enjoyed his mission so much he requested an extension.

Clay enjoyed music. He was a member of the Marsh Valley High Marvel Choir. He played the organ and piano. He recently was learning to play the guitar. He also liked to cook and would share recipes.

Clay had a love for animals. He had dogs in his growing up years. One dog, Nikki, was his constant and loving companion.

Clay has lived in Pocatello, ID, Salt Lake City, Ut where he was employed at Univac (Sperry). Moved to Colorado Springs, CO then to Tucson, AZ. He eventually settled in Pocatello, ID to be closer to his mom.

Clay lived his life quietly. He had a kind heart.  He loved his nieces and nephews and they loved him.

Clay struggled with a debilitating disease but did it with grace.

The family is grateful for the plan of salvation and our testimony that Clay is in a better place with people he loves and who love him. We will miss him but will someday see him again.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at the Gate Way Rehab center (both past and present) who took loving care of our brother.  A family service, as a tribute and celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at a later date.  To share condolences, memories, and photos, please visit DavisRoseMortuary.com.
