Bobbie Monica Garcia

June 11, 1965 — March 5, 2025

American Falls

Bobbie Monica Garcia gained her wings to heaven surrounded by her family on March 5th, 2025, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Bobbie was born on June 11, 1965, in La Jara, Colorado, to Ernesto Casias and Oclires Chacon. In 1967, her family relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she would spend her formative years and then later made the move to American Falls, Idaho. In 1989, Bobbie met Clifford Blair, with whom she shared more than 30 years of cherished companionship. Together, they raised three children: Destiny (Scott), Miguel (Erynn), and Anthony (Gary), each of whom they loved dearly. Bobbie’s family was her greatest source of pride, and her legacy will continue through them.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Oclires, as well as her brothers Jeremy and Fabian Garcia, her sister Carmen Garcia, and her nephew Gabriel "Coco" and niece Cynthia. She was raised on the west side of Salt Lake City, where she attended Jackson Elementary and West High School. Throughout her life, she developed many lifelong friendships and was loved deeply by all who knew her. Bobbie had a variety of job experiences but held a special fondness for working during potato harvests, a testament to her hardworking nature. Her spirited personality shone through, as she could exhibit a fierce temper one moment yet be the nicest lady the next. Those who knew Bobbie would agree that she was truly one of a kind. Among her favorite pastimes were camping and spending time with her family, especially during the holiday season. Christmas was particularly special to her, as she dedicated herself to spoiling her grandchildren. One of her proudest accomplishments was obtaining her driver's license at the age of over 50.

Bobbie was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. But her best role was being a grandmother and spending every moment she had with them. She has 8 grandchildren: Alyra, Aria, Abella, Kaique, Marlee, an expected grandchild, Trey, and Angel. Additionally, she was blessed with two beautiful great-grandchildren, Ka'ili and Maile. Each of them lit up her life and was loved so very much.

The family of Bobbie Monica Garcia would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Power County Nursing Facility and the University of Utah for their unwavering support and care during her battle. Their kindness will not be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to honor Bobbie’s memory during the visitation on Sunday, March 9th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Powerhouse Church, located at 2905 Sunbeam Rd in American Falls, Idaho. A funeral service will follow from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the same location. Bobbie’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
