Bessie Viola (Haynes) Mounce, 90, of American Falls passed away peacefully on July 1, 2015 at the Power County Nursing Home in American Falls, Idaho.
Bessie was born in Ava, Missouri March 30, 1925 to Annice and Isabel Haynes. She was the youngest of 10 children. The family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1935.
She married Everett Mounce August, 3, 1943 in Elko, Nevada. There were married for 55 years. They moved to American Falls in 1972 where they spent the remainder of their lives. Bessie worked at Harms Memorial Hospital for 16 years before retirement.
Bessie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, fishing, embroidery work and crocheting.
Bessie is survived by her son Douglas Mounce ,Rupert, ID; daughter Betsy Mounce, American Falls, ID; grandsons Robert (Tracy) Mounce, Nampa, ID, Charles Mounce (Linda), San Antonio, TX; Dale Mounce, Portland, OR; granddaughters Kellie Davis, Heyburn, ID; Joyce Bennett (Ben), Boise, ID; Tracey Bench (David), Heyburn, ID; 16 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Her husband Everett, son Robert and daughters Viola and Susan, mother and father and nine siblings precede her in death.
The funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Power House Christian Fellowship, 2905 Sunbeam, Rd., in American Falls. A luncheon will follow. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 am Monday, July 6 in Burley, Idaho at Pleasant View Cemetery.
