Barbara Brown

May 17, 1943 — August 7, 2022

American Falls

Barbara Brown, our loving daughter, sister, Aunt, teacher, and coach, she had talents too many to list.

Barbara had many talents:  toll painting, beading, macramé, ceramics, needle work, gardener, rock collecting, and antiquing extraordinaire. Her dream was to one day open an antique store and buy and sell items. While she never opened a store, she was certainly ready with her own personal inventory.

Barb had many student teachers over the years; one student became a friend and colleague that taught Barb the art of photography. Barb worked for Pro Photo going to mule and equine jumping shows. She then continued taking wildlife photos on her own while traveling and recreating.

Traveling with her parents and/or her family and friends were some of the best times of her life. Neskowin, Oregon was her favorite place as she went there once a year for over 30 years.

Barb will be remembered for her love of teaching and coaching, but also for all the fun pranks she became known for such as hiding a parakeet in her dorm room to dress up days as a teacher. Who can forget her violin days of twinkle little star, or the coach’s clinic in Sun Valley asking drivers in convertibles if they had any “Gray Poupon”? There were many times Barb would make up a foreign language in a public place and pretend to not speak English.

Barb was proceeded in death by her parents, Lowell and Thelda Brown, brothers Paul and Robert, Brother in laws Daro Hamilton, Don Green and sister-in-law Audrey Brown.

She is survived by sisters Vea Hamilton, LuAnn Green, sister-in-law Colleen Brown. Barb has many nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and nephews.

Thanks to the many special friends, caregivers, and neighbors.
